Background

This project was completed by me and 4 other designers under our mentor's guidance. I was mainly responsible for initial research, developing the brand concept, creating brand visuals and illustrations, and constructing the brand narrative.

Insight:

Inspired by food extinction due to climate change and plastic-wrapped foods in the supermarket. We created a revolution to free food from plastic packaging, using engaging storytelling and funny illustrations to educate users on supporting zero-waste shops and making eco-friendly choices.

Solution:

Zero Plastic Heroes stands out from typical eco-friendly brands by using a food perspective, bold colours, cute cartoon characters, and engaging narratives to draw people into the "Save Food from Plastic Monsters" campaign. The brand employs diverse media strategies, with offline billboard stories and online social media directing audiences to the website and the app.

Brand Characters: The major foods facing extinction as a result of the climate crisis.

We give each food a different character trait to make the brand image of the food more interesting and unique.

The Home page features the primary assets of our app, including a QR code for easy access, a loyalty card for tracking progress, and a personalized rewards section that users can earn through gameplay.

 The map page, which is also accessible on the website, serves as an easy-to-use directory that helps users locate nearby zero-waste stores to take advantage of the app's features.

 By providing these key elements we aim to streamline the user experience and ensure that users can easily access the full range of functionalities offered by our app.
